Stephen Hsu
Co-Founder and Chairman

As Chairman, Stephen is responsible for setting the vision and corporate strategy for Robot Genius, as well as negotiating and developing relationships with other parties. In 2000, Stephen co-founded SafeWeb, Inc., a pioneer of SSL VPN technology, where, as CEO and Chairman, he raised over $10 million in venture capital. SafeWeb was acquired by Symantec for $26 million on Oct. 15, 2003. Stephen is currently a professor of theoretical physics at the University of Oregon. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in theoretical physics from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.S. in physics from the California Institute of Technology. He is the author of more than 70 publications in theoretical physics, astrophysics, and cosmology.

James Noshir Hormuzdiar
Co-founder and CTO

As CTO, Jim is the lead developer and architect for Robot Genius, leveraging his vast programming experience to develop the product's core technologies, as well as managing the development team. At SafeWeb, Inc., Jim developed all of the core technologies for the SSL VPN product. He led a team of elite developers consisting of several Ph.D.s from Yale, Carnegie-Mellon, and Berkeley, as well as graduates of Caltech, the Indian Institute of Technology, and the Institute for Physical Problems, Moscow. Jim has developed software for the robotics industry at Transition Research Corporation, and has served as a research fellow at McGill University, where he worked on quantum chromodynamics and numerical field theory. Jim holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in theoretical physics from Yale University and B.S. degrees in mathematics, physics, and electrical engineering from the University of Connecticut.

David Oller
Senior VP Sales and Business Development

David brings to Robot Genius a strong leadership background and track record of 25 years in global enterprise software sales. Most recently, he was vice president at Layer 7 Technologies, and previously he was senior vice president worldwide sales at SafeWeb Inc., acquired by Symantec in 2003, and responsible for over 60 customers worldwide and 35 security VAR’s in North America. Prior to that, David was senior vice president worldwide sales at Cardonet Inc. where he grew license revenues 400% in a 12-month period. David was also a key leader at Moai Inc. as vice president sales generating revenues to over $28 million in 2000.
